What are your travel plans for summer 2018, residents? We hope everyone living at our community of apartments on East Riverside gets the chance to travel this summer, and we want to help those of you that are still trying to lock down your vacation plans. That’s why the staff at Mesh Apartments has put together a list of apps that our residents can use to make travel plans, explore new cities, and even pack for your upcoming trip!

In the list below, you’ll find some of the top-rated travel apps of 2018. Whether you’re going on a solo trip abroad or you’re traveling with a group of friends, the apps on this list can help you make the most of your adventures. Without further delay, let’s dive into the list!

When you’re done reading through this week’s blog, please be sure to share the link to this post with your friends and neighbors in your community of East Riverside apartments.

Detour

Unless you’re with your family or a huge group of people, going on a walking tour usually isn’t the most exciting way to spend an afternoon in an unfamiliar city. The tour guides usually try too hard to make good jokes, and it’s often hard to walk around a busy city with a big group of people. The thing is, walking tours can actually be fun if you’re alone.

Detour has guided walking tours for hundreds of cities, so you can throw on a pair of headphones and walk around a city with a guide. The guides have turn-by-turn navigation and friendly people telling you about the monuments and attractions you’re seeing. Check it out!

CityMapper

It’s hard to enough to get from Point A to Point B in day to day life, and it’s almost impossible to do it in a foreign city without making any mistakes. If you’re trying to travel on a budget by using public transportation, we highly recommend downloading CityMapper before you get on the plane.

Google Trips

Can you imagine what traveling was like before smartphones? Think of how many important documents you used to need. You would have had to bring a briefcase everywhere just to keep track of your hotel reservations and confirmation codes. You don’t have to do that anymore thanks to apps like Google Trips.

PackPoint

Think about how much time you’ve wasted creating packing checklists over the years when you could have just downloaded PackPoint! This app works by asking you where you’re going, how long you’ll be there, and what activities you plan on doing while you’re there. Then, it spits out a customized packing checklist for you based on the weather in your destination city. All that’s left for you to do is pack!

Those are all the travel apps we’ve got to talk about this week, residents! As always, we greatly appreciate those of you that have been coming back month after month to read the latest brand new blog posts from Mesh apartments! We hope you enjoyed this week’s post, and we hope that you’ll come back in a couple weeks to read our next blog!
