We hope you love your kitchen at your community of apartments on East Riverside, but if not, we’re here with some advice that will help you get comfortable in the most important room in your house. We’re of the belief that your kitchen should be your favorite room in your house. You should enjoy hanging out in your kitchen! The sooner you start loving your kitchen, the sooner you’ll start saving some serious cash by not eating out as much.
It’s easy to get discouraged from cooking if you aren’t comfortable in your kitchen. Luckily, there are a lot of ways you can help yourself get comfortable in your kitchen. You don’t have to knock any walls down, install new lights or buy new appliances (please don’t do any of those things). We’ve got a list of things you can do right now to make your kitchen more comfortable. Check out the list of tips below, and be sure to share this post with your friends and neighbors at your community of East Riverside apartments!
First things first — stock your spice cupboard
Okay, you don’t have to actually have a spice cupboard, but you do need to invest in way more spices. Unless you have upwards of 20 spices in your kitchen, you’re going to need to go to the grocery store and buy some more. You don’t even have to know which spices you’re buying — just pick the ones that sound cool! You need spices because spices will make your food taste like it’s been cooked in a restaurant. It’ll take a little experimentation, but eventually you’ll figure out the right combinations. Spices, herbs and seasonings compliment the natural food flavors in different ways, so test out a few different combinations and find the one that works for you!
Buy better ingredients
Do you always buy the cheapest food at the grocery store? That’s a good way to save money in the short term, but it might end up costing you in the long run. Think about it this way; would you rather eat the cheap stuff or the most expensive food in the store? You’d rather eat the expensive stuff, obviously. If you buy the cheap stuff, you might not end up eating it because you don’t actually want it. This will lead to you ordering food that you don’t want to eat, and spending money that you shouldn’t be spending. That’s why cheap food doesn’t actually save you money in the long run. Go for the good stuff!
Invest in the right tools
You’re never going to cook if you don’t have cool tools to cook with. Most people have the basics, but we think you should expand your toolshed, so to speak. Go to Target and buy a couple of new “toys” for your kitchen. If you buy the right kitchen too, you might even get excited about cooking. Imagine that! You don’t have to spend a fortune on cooking tools, but buy one or two things that you can get excited about.
