Awesome Dog Parks near your East Riverside Apartments

  |     |   Uncategorized

Since Mesh is one of the most pet-friendly community of apartments on East Riverside, we think it’s our duty to tell residents how to keep their pups happy. In fact, that’s the topic of this week’s post. We’re talking about the best dog parks in the area, and there are plenty to choose from.

In the post below, you’ll find info on three dog parks that your dog will absolutely love. Don’t worry — you’ll have a good time too! Without further delay, let’s check out the list of dog parks below. When you’re done reading through the post, please be sure to share the link to this page with your friends and neighbors at your community of apartments on Lady Bird Lake.

Red Bud Isle

First up on our list is the coolest and most happenin’ dog park in Austin. Red Bud Isle is a beautiful off-leash park on a peninsula that sticks out into the Colorado River. The one issue with this park is the parking lot. It only fits about 15 cars, so people often line up and wait for their turn to park. If you want to go on a weekend, you can expect to wait if you arrive after 10 am.

Red Bud Isle is perfect for dogs who like to swim, as there are multiple entrances to the water throughout the park. This is a great place to meet other dog owners, or to just wander through the park with your pup. Get there early though!

Auditorium Shores Off-Leash Zone

For the best view in town, head on over to the Auditorium Shores Off-Leash Zone. This park features views of downtown with the river in front of it, and the park itself has tons of wide open green space for your pup to run around in. The off-leash portion of the park — which is located down past the 1st Street bridge, is usually filled with pups. We’re talking about dozens of dogs running, fetching and splashing around in the river. If your dog is a fan of other dogs, you’ve got to check this place out. You can park for free in the lot next to the 1st Street bridge or find parking farther west down Riverside.

Norwood Estate Dog Park

The last dog park on our list is also the closest dog park to your community of apartments. Small dog owners will love Norwood Estate Dog Park because of the separate areas for big pups and little ones. All the owners at this park is super friendly and considerate, so feel free to bring your dog here even if he or she is a little shy. The park is located right up on the intersection of Riverside and 35, making it one of the most accessible dog parks in town. The best part about this park? Plenty of parking!
