Thanksgiving Ideas from your East Riverside Apartments

  |     |   Uncategorized

What do you love most about your family’s annual Thanksgiving celebration? If you’re like a lot of residents of our apartments on Lady Bird Lake, you’ve probably already started thinking about the stuffing, turkey and gravy-covered mashed potatoes. We couldn’t agree more with this sentiment, which is why we’ve decided to share a list of our favorite Thanksgiving recipes.

In the blog post below, you’ll find three Thanksgiving recipes that have been tried, tested and tasted. These recipes aren’t complicated, which means you can be the most popular chef at your Thanksgiving get together without putting in too much effort. Sounds nice, right? Let’s get right to the list of recipes! Oh, and when you’re done reading through the blog post below, please feel free to share the link to this page with your friends and neighbors at your community of apartments on East Riverside.

Fried Mashed Potato Balls

Make sure you have these ingredients so you can get started:

  • Mashed Potatoes

  • Bacon

  • Cheddar Cheese

  • Chives

  • Garlic Powder

  • Salt & Pepper

  • Eggs

  • Panko Bread Crumbs

Mashed potatoes are great on their own, but everything is made better with bread crumbs, bacon and cheddar cheese. By frying the potatoes, you can give them a crunchy outer layer that pairs perfectly with the texture of the soft mashed potatoes. These will be a welcome treat and a nice change-up from the traditional mashed potatoes you’re used to eating at Thanksgiving.

Turkey Sliders with Stuffing Biscuits

Make sure you have these ingredients so you can get started:

  • Celery

  • Carrot

  • Thyme

  • Sage

  • Buttermilk

  • Ground Turkey

  • Mayonnaise

  • Baking Soda

  • Baking Powder

  • Olive Oil

  • Cranberry Sauce

  • Flour

  • Onion

We love this recipe because it combines three Thanksgiving staples to create the quintessential Turkey Day appetizer. These sliders feature a bun made out of stuffing, filling made out of turkey and a spread made out of cranberries. It’s like the holy grail of Thanksgiving leftovers sandwiches.

Pumpkin Pecan Bread Pudding

Make sure you have these ingredients so you can get started:

  • Pumpkin Puree

  • Eggs

  • Milk

  • Cream

  • Butter

  • Cinnamon

  • Vanilla Extract

  • Nutmeg

  • Pecan Halves

  • Brioche

  • Sugar

The last recipe on our list is really more of a desert than a side dish, but don’t let that stop you from eating it alongside your turkey and stuffing. If you look at the list above, you’ll notice that there are a lot of sweet and sugary ingredients that go into this dish. Don’t skimp on any of them. Also, be sure to buy the biggest pecans you can, because that extra crunch will make all the difference when you bite into this delectable dish.

With that, we’ve hit the end of our list of Thanksgiving recipes!
