The first weekend of ACL has come and gone, which means fall has officially arrived at our community of apartments on East Riverside. While fall is a little different down here than it is up north — where many of our residents come from — the weather is still definitively cooler than it was a few months ago. Boots are coming out of storage bins. Vests are being pulled down from top shelves. We might even see a scarf or two make an appearance one of these days. With all those fall clothes coming out of the woodwork, we thought this would be a good time to discuss fall activities in and around Austin, TX.

In the blog post below, we’ll be sharing a couple of our favorite ATX activities that make us feel like summer is finally behind us. While you probably won’t feel the need to rake a bunch of leaves into a pile or warm your hands with some hot apple cider, there are still plenty of ways to embrace the festive fall spirit.

Without further ado, let’s dive right into the list of fall activities! When you’re done reading through it, please be sure to share the link to this blog with your friends and neighbors at your community of apartments on Lady Bird Lake.

Fall Festivals

While temperatures don’t drop down to 40 degrees here, there are still plenty of fall festivals happening around Austin. These festivals usually feature corn mazes, pumpkin patches, apple cider, and the occasional petting zoo. Click the link above to see a full list of the best festivals in Texas. While some of these festivals might be located a ways away, it’s fun to make a full day of it and stop in some small towns on your way to and from the festival. You can’t go wrong with classic fall activities like walking through a corn maze or choosing a pumpkin, so click the link above and find a festival that works for you!

Cideries

Nothing screams fall quite like a glass of apple cider. Here in Austin, we’re lucky to have the Austin Eastciders cidery right here in town. Not only does this place have the best cider in town, but they have alcoholic cider. The Austin Eastciders warehouse and bar is located right next to the Austin Bouldering Project gym, which is one of the coolest places in town for working up a sweat while having fun. Head on over to the intersection of Airport and Springdale and make a day of it!

Those are all the fall activities we’ve got to talk about this week, residents! We’ll be back in a few short weeks with another brand new blog, but in the meantime, we’d like to thank you for taking some time out of your busy fall schedule to read the latest post from Mesh apartments. If we’ve done our jobs this week, you should have no trouble finding new activities to fill your weekends this fall.
