It’s easy to live healthy when you live at Mesh apartments on East Riverside. At least, that’s what we’d like to think. Our ideal location near Lady Bird Lake means you’re never more than a few minutes from one of Austin’s most beautiful jogging trails, bike paths and outdoor activity centers. Everyone works out a little differently, but everyone can find a way to workout down by Lady Bird Lake. <\/b><\/p>\n

Of course, working out is only half the battle when it comes to living healthy. Your diet factors into your health just as much, which is why it’s so important to find ingredients and meals that taste good while being good for you.  We want to help all our residents be the healthiest versions of themselves, so we’ve decided to compile a list of tips that can help you achieve your health goals in 2018. <\/b><\/p>\n

Leave yourself time in the morning<\/b><\/p>\n

When it comes to your health, there is no time of day more important than the morning. Whether you go all-in by making time for a morning workout or you simply wake up 10 minutes earlier so you can eat a healthy breakfast, paying attention to your health in the morning will set the tone for your whole day. It’s a lot easier to skip that post-lunch cookie if it means ruining the streak of healthy choices that you’ve been making all day. Give yourself time to eat a good breakfast. Wake up 20 minutes earlier so you can go for a run. Whatever you do, don’t let your morning go to waste. <\/b><\/p>\n

Find a new way to workout<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

While some people love to go to the gym and lift weights for an hour, a lot of people find it to be boring. If you need a little more action in your fitness regimen, consider a new, active hobby. You could take up rock climbing, or try kayaking, or just start playing sand volleyball over at Zilker Park. The point is, you don’t have to go to the gym to workout. In fact, you might get a far more complete workout by doing something different!<\/b><\/p>\n

Replace the unhealthy ingredients<\/b><\/p>\n

There are a lot of ways to eat healthy without completely switching up your diet. One of our favorite diet tricks is to switch out rice for quinoa, or potatoes for cauliflower. You can also trade in your chips for dried fruit at lunch, and your sugary yogurt with Greek yogurt for breakfast. Oh, and don’t forget about ditching the granola and eating muesli instead!<\/b><\/p>\n
